Thanks for the memories!!!! Didn’t we have a ball? It felt as though we laughed our way around the Med.

A fantastic cruise (if a tad warm!!) made even more special by fabulous company. Let’s do it again – soon!

    Love,

    Lynn & Co.

Wow thankyou Jane for another wonderful review, I have just spent most of my morning sat here reading and looking at the pics, and now feel as if I have been on a cruise. This time last year we were on Arcadia and it brought back some good memories. Kirstie was interested to see you found her fave bar in Dubrovnik, she is looking forward to being back there again soon.

    Best Wishes Julie

Such a shame Electra is so quiet, there has been a DJ problem in there for a long time now, they should sack him and get someone who can get the place buzzing….did you complain?

The crew were made aware of ‘Mr Leary Man’ and we knew that he had come near again he could have been dealt with in the appropriate way!

    Hi Jane

Reading your review of Arcadia with much interest as we are on her in Dec for Xmas. Natalie joins Arcadia in Sept so should be interesting to see how the portunus lunch is when she gets onboard. All the cruises I’ve been on where she has been hosting the lunch, she always goes around the tables and chats to the gold passengers. I’m sure you would have had a different experience has she been there! I believe when she goes back she is on with Helen Bennett. It’s interesting to hear your comments because I think both the girls on Arcadia at the moment used to be future cruise sales, rather than one being portunus and one being loyalty. I think some of the loyalty boys and girls have taken to the merger better than the future cruise boys/girls. I certainly know Natalie has.

As for your DJ experience. Where do P & O find these guys? He sounds like dirty Paul as cruisa called him on our Oriana cruise in May! Sounds pretty damn useless. They don’t seem to want to work for their wages! After all, they only seem to work at night from what I’ve noticed. Mind you the music sounds slightly better than the nolans and the mavericks! Or Shania Twayne! I know once a DJ plays these songs, Mr B is ready for the off!!!!!!

Was it on your cruise where Dominique fell down the stairs and broke her ribs?

There have been a few comments over the years over the DJ’s, some are better than others, but P&O need to realise that some of us do actually like a bit of a boogie late at night.
I dont think the role of Loyalty Manager and Future Cruise Manager being merged is a good move. Two totally different roles, one sales and one customer service & hospitality, and it is interesting how differnt Loyalty managers can be from ship to ship.

    PS

I love that ladies lime green dress. It looks exactly like the same one my niece wore for her school ball. Except her’s didn’t have straps.

lovely to read your full report. I too think the Crows Nest is where they seem to have run out of money, the rooms at the side look lovely ( used for weddings etc) then you walk into the CN and ummm ugh… looks as charmless as a cross channel ferry lounge !!!
We are on Arcadia Friday so now cant wait to see the new aft deck, so far we have never managed to get a lounger there.!

It does seem that P&O are missing out on ‘ Care for the Customer’ ….

I always buy the top internet package of 250 minutes for £40, plus a one of £1.95 connection fee. That works out at 16p a minute. You can pay as you go at30p a minute, and there is another package available inbetween that I think wourks out at 20p+ per minute. on the top package you usually get 20 free mins in addition to the above if you sign up on the first day, and look out for daily offers and happy hours etc

Ive never had the pleasure to cruise with Natalie as Loyaly Manager but Im sure because she understands things through the passengers eye, Im sure she works quiet differently from some of the others.

Ive just returned from Celebrity Equinox – Fantastic! Watch the website for the photos and report.
