What’s New with P&O Cruises? Here’s What Each Ship is Up To!

Head to the bottom of the page for a full list of itineraries

We’ve just had the latest update from P&O Cruises about their 2026/27 plans, and we couldn’t wait to share it with you! There are some fabulous new itineraries, amazing destinations, and even a Total Solar Eclipse you can see at sea 🌒. So if you’re dreaming of where your next cruise could take you, here’s what each ship will be up to…

Arvia – Sunshine and Culture in the Med

Arvia is sticking with her popular 14-night Western Mediterranean cruises from Southampton, setting sail every other Sunday. There are two different routes to choose from – one with Rome and Florence/Pisa, and the other with Malaga and Toulon in the South of France. Both include a visit to Barcelona, so you really can’t go wrong!

She’s also keeping her shorter Southern Cruise Breaks to Spain & France, which were introduced for summer 2026 – perfect if you want a quick escape with some sunshine and sangria.

Iona – Back to the Breathtaking Fjords

We’re so pleased to see Iona returning to her dedicated Norwegian Fjords cruises every Saturday from Southampton. These are some of the most scenic sailings out there – perfect for nature lovers and photographers.

Once summer winds down, she’ll mix things up with cruises to the Canary Islands, a Northern European City Escape, and some shorter breaks to Spain and France too.

Britannia – A Bit of Everything (and a Solar Eclipse!)

Britannia is offering a lovely variety of cruises again, from short breaks to longer adventures. One that really caught our eye is her Western Med cruise – not only does it focus on Spain and call at Cagliari in Italy, but it’s also timed to witness a Total Solar Eclipse in Cadiz – how amazing is that?

She’ll also be heading off on a 21-night Central Mediterranean cruise, visiting Malta, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Spain – a real grand tour of the Med.

If you’re after something a little shorter, she’ll also be sailing to the Norwegian Fjords, doing Southern Cruise Breaks, and offering a Canary Islands getaway at the end of summer. Britannia departs from Southampton on Fridays.

Azura – Mediterranean Adventures from Malta

Azura will carry on with her fantastic fly-cruise programme from Valletta, Malta, giving you the choice of 7- or 14-night itineraries exploring every corner of the Mediterranean.

  • In the Central Med, think Dubrovnik, Kotor, Corfu, and those sparkling Adriatic coastlines.

  • In the Eastern Med, she’ll take you to the heart of Greece, including Athens, Santorini, and Rhodes.

  • And in the West, you’ll visit Rome, Florence, Corsica, and the French Riviera.

It’s the perfect way to see more of the Med, especially if you want to fly straight into the sunshine!

Ventura – Sun, Cities and Short Breaks

Ventura will keep doing what she does best – sun-soaked cruises to Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands, alongside some great little Short Breaks. She’ll be turning around in Southampton on Saturdays and Tuesdays, giving plenty of options for your getaway.

Arcadia & Aurora – Longer, More Adventurous Itineraries

If you love a cruise that’s a bit more off the beaten path, Arcadia and Aurora have some truly exciting itineraries lined up.

Aurora

She’s heading north with a beautiful Norway & Iceland cruise, including Alesund, Akureyri, and a scenic sail-by of Hrisey. You’ll also get a longer stay in Reykjavik to explore the Icelandic capital properly.

She’s also:

  • Visiting Harstad in Northern Norway for the very first time

  • Sailing a 7-night trip around Denmark, Norway & Belgium

  • Offering a 16-night cultural cruise with stops in Sweden, Latvia, and Germany

  • Heading all the way to Egypt on a 19-night itinerary to see the Pyramids of Giza

  • Exploring Morocco, France, Portugal, and more on a 21-night Western Med cruise

  • And if you fancy North America? Aurora is the only ship crossing the Atlantic to Canada in September on a 24-night voyage!

Arcadia

She’s not one to miss out either! Arcadia will be:

  • Cruising through Norway with overnight stays in Oslo and Copenhagen

  • Offering a 19-night Med cruise to Spain, Italy, Portugal and Morocco

  • Exploring the British Isles in June 2027 – including Stornoway, Belfast, and Holyhead

  • Ending the season with a 14-night Atlantic Coast cruise featuring three Moroccan ports

  • And don’t worry, she’s got the Canary Islands and Southern Cruise Breaks covered too!

If any of these itineraries catch your eye, let us know – we’re here to help find the perfect cruise for you and get you booked on early to lock in the best cabins and deals. Whether it’s fjords, the Med, Morocco or a once-in-a-lifetime eclipse, there’s so much to look forward to!
