More than 12,800 Brits will be travelling with P&O Cruises on April 29, meaning the largest collective wedding celebration at sea.
The six ships will be cruising as far apart as the Panama Canal to Palma, the Atlantic to the Bay of Biscay.
On board each ship, passengers will receive a Royal Wedding invitation in their cabin and the wedding coverage will be broadcast in all possible areas on board, including the SeaScreen giant cinema screen by the pool on Azura.*
Great British sailaway or deck parties will take place throughout the day, with decorations and flags, and evening entertainment will include a Royal Gala Ball and a specially themed quiz. Films shown will have a royal theme, such as The Queen, The King’s Speech and The Princess Diaries for younger cruisers.
P&O Cruises managing director, Carol Marlow, said: “The Royal Wedding will have the nation gripped on April 29 and we would like people to celebrate in true P&O Cruises style. We create a sense of occasion better than anyone, and have made sure that the day will be a wonderful celebration for everyone on board.”
The P&O Cruises ships will be in the following locations on April 29:
•Arcadia – transit Panama Canal headed towards Puntarenas, Costa Rica
•Aurora – crossing the Atlantic from Barbados, next stop Madeira
•Azura – alongside in Palma
